Sílvio Souza hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Evaristo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Araguari FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Goiano to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, Sílvio Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porcas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Amauri Neiva fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porcas's protests and gave Amauri Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Porcas getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Amauri Neiva hit a great ball. Sílvio Souza kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 27thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Araguari FC's keeper Umberto Pinho was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After 28 minutes, Clóvis Arruda made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Porcas's Caco Moraes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Souza got free with Umberto Pinho in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 41 minutes, Clóvis Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araguari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clóvis Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Porcas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Araguari FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nilmar Maia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 54 minutes into the match, Porcas's goalkeeper Caco Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clóvis Arruda. Sabino Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sabino Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Araguari FC's Sabino Goiano got a free kick in the 60th minute. Sílvio Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Umberto Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Maia in the 71st minute of play forced Porcas's goalkeeper Caco Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Umberto Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabino Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Evaristo Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porcas's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Pinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sílvio Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Umberto Pinho having to make a save. Araguari FC's Umberto Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Souza in the 82nd minute of play. Clóvis Arruda might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caco Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clóvis Arruda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute Nilmar Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Evaristo Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Pinho having to interfere.
