Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Paulo Sarmento kicked off to start the match. Telmo Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Barros in the 12th minute of play. Sílvio Souza scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Telmo Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sílvio Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Macedo having to make a save. Sílvio Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Telmo Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Barros in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Porcas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Gomes to maneuver through the defense. Itanhomi's Luiz Paulo Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Sarmento was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Itanhomi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Marcus Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itanhomi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Evaristo Barros made the kick off in the second half. When Porcas's Evaristo Barros in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itanhomi's goalie prevented a goal. Ian Negri's late challenge caught a Porcas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian Negri helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, Itanhomi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Negri to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Itanhomi's zone, Sílvio Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo Macedo came out of the goal and Sílvio Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Porcas's goalkeeper Caco Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute Evaristo Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Barros's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Marcus Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caco Moraes. Porcas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcus Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Marcus Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Moraes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Luiz Paulo Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itanhomi's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Paulo Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caco Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sílvio Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Itanhomi. Natanael Machado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Caco Moraes. 2-1. Itanhomi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
