Leandro Mumbach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manolo Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Pedro de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Leandro Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Redencao EC's Manolo Corrêa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Mumbach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Kauã Bueno could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Davi Souto however easily saved by the left post. Kauã Bueno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Davi Souto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 42nd minute, one of Redencao EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Redencao EC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Pedro de Azevedo to make the kick off. Kauã Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Redencao EC got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Alvarenga. Cesinha Tasso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Davi Souto. Redencao EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Reginaldo Massa fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redencao EC's protests and gave Reginaldo Massa a yellow card for diving instead. Reginaldo Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match.
