Walmir Barretos short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Waldemar Zilles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matías do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belchior Machado in the 6th minute of play. Waldemar Zilles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Walmir Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waldemar Zilles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olívio Castro in the 18th minute of the match. Walmir Barreto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Waldemar Zilles firmly grabbed it by the left post. Olívio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Guaporanga EC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Furtado came free, but Matías do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Durval Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmir Barreto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. Guaporanga EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Olívio Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Azurita SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Walmir Barreto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Azurita SC's zone, Olívio Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Zilles came out of the goal and Olívio Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes in the game, Olívio Castro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Waldemar Zilles having to interfere. Gabriel Favoretto hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Azurita SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remo Furtado to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Walmir Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaporanga EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmir Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Zilles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Olívio Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belchior Machado struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Matías do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azurita SC. A hard shot 76 in the game by Belchior Machado from a close distance when the talented Matías do Valle managed to make a qualified save. Guaporanga EC's players were relieved. In the 77th minute, Walmir Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Christian Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmir Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Waldemar Zilles having to make a save. After having played for 85 minutes, Remo Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azurita SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remo Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Olívio Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Waldemar Zilles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guaporanga EC's Matías do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Guaporanga EC from getting a goal against them. If Walmir Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Azurita SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
