An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolo Dracena in the 9th minute of play forced Guaporanga EC's goalkeeper Matías do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Kaká Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Guaraipos booed when Guaporanga EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolo Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Matías do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Alfredão Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matías do Valle was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Manolo Dracena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manolo Dracena really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Lino Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Manolo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matías do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manolo Dracena in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Guaraipos's Lino Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Castro in the 55th minute of play. Matías do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Mesquita in the 60th minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play Guaporanga EC's Alfredão Lopez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Alfredão Lopez hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Guaporanga EC's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Mesquita came free, but Matías do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Guaraipos getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Wilson Hoffmann hit a great ball. If Walmir Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guaporanga EC's zone, Manolo Dracena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matías do Valle came out of the goal and Manolo Dracena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Durval Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Guaraipos's Kauã Lopes tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Guaporanga EC's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Dracena came free, but Matías do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Walmir Barreto had several of the Guaraipos's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Lino Goiano as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmir Barreto got free with Lino Goiano in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kauan Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Goiano having to interfere. Walmyr Mesquita might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matías do Valle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmyr Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Guaraipos's Manolo Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matías do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Manolo Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
