Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Serginho Recife kicked off to start the match. Doriva Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Doriva Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luiz Guilherme Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Guilherme Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Soares having to interfere. Silas Cearense hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Serginho Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Marcelinho Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mamory SC's Léo da Silva got a free kick in the 26th minute. Serginho Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelinho Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Veiga in the 38th minute of the match. Marcelinho Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mamory SC's Marcelinho Cruz got control of the ball when Valdir Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doriva Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válter Azevedo in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Válter Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Rocha during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Cotegipe got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Rocha. After a defensive mix-up in Cotegipe's zone, Luiz Guilherme Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doriva Soares came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the game, one of Cotegipe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When José Vítor Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Cotegipe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Salgado couldn't finish the play. After 70 played minutes Cotegipe got a freekick which was hit by César Jacinto. Léo da Silva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. César Jacinto hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Serginho Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Soares having to interfere. A collision led to Cotegipe getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. César Jacinto hit a great ball. Válter Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mamory SC played a much better game than Cotegipe and deserved their victory. The Cotegipe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
