An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Lago in the 12th minute of play forced Mudanca EC's goalkeeper Cesinha Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Ernani Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mudanca EC's Cesinha Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, Ernani Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesinha Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Adalmo Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 played minutes Mudanca EC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Pirani. When Ernani Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Gentio SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernani Prestes couldn't finish the play. Cesinha Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 30 minutes, Adalmo Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mudanca EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalmo Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 31 minutes, Adalmo Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emílio Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalmo Mendonça in the 46th minute of the match. The Mudanca EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gentio SS were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernani Prestes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adalmo Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Adalmo Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Gentio SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalmo Pereira couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Gentio SS's Adalmo Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesinha Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalmo Mendonça in the 70th minute of play forced Gentio SS's goalkeeper Emílio Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mudanca EC's Cesinha Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Prestes in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Mudanca EC booed when Gentio SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Adalmo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Loyola struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Emílio Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mudanca EC. 94 minutes into the match, Gentio SS's goal looked a bit too open when Adalmo Mendonça came free, but Emílio Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mudanca EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gentio SS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
