Eliézer Lago hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Gernando da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Itacarambi's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Prestes came free, but Deivid Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalmo Pereira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 27th playminute. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Itacarambi! In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Gentio SS. Leopoldo Leite stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Deivid Donato. 2-0. After having played for 34 minutes, Gernando da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itacarambi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernani Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernani Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deivid Donato having to interfere. Gentio SS's Emílio Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Machado in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Gentio SS's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Machado came free, but Emílio Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Adalmo Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Gentio SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalmo Pereira couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Machado was the one to do the kick off. Lenílson Nogueira hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Gentio SS's Ernani Prestes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Deivid Donato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Inácio Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Inácio Machado came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Itacarambi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Machado couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Adalmo Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gentio SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalmo Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Deivid Donato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, Gentio SS's Ernani Prestes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Deivid Donato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Gentio SS got a freekick which was hit by Nico Saraiva. Gentio SS's Emílio Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Machado in the 70th minute of play. Ernani Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Deivid Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adalmo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernani Prestes struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Deivid Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gentio SS. Itacarambi's Deivid Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Prestes in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Gentio SS were the better team. Gentio SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
