Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zé Carlos Quadros started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Itacima SC's Dedé Cabral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erik Marquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Washington Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Fonseca having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Erik Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Imbiara SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Itacima SC's Kléberson da Costa tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Josué Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Imbiara SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itacima SC's goalkeeper Aílton Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Carlos Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Fonseca having to interfere. Dedé Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Marquez having to interfere. Aílton Fonseca was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Zé Carlos Quadros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Carlos Quadros really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 42 played minutes Itacima SC got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson da Costa. After a defensive mix-up in Imbiara SC's zone, Dedé Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Marquez came out of the goal and Dedé Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Zé Carlos Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Dedé Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Imbiara SC's Erik Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Cabral in the 69th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Erik Marquez made a huge save. Aílton Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Carlos Quadros's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Imbiara SC's Erik Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Imbiara SC from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute Dedé Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Washington Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes in the game, Luiz Paulo Queiroz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Erik Marquez having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Fontes in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aílton Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Washington Fontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imbiara SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After having played for 97 minutes, Zé Carlos Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imbiara SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Imbiara SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Itacima SC for a fine match.
