Mabederi AD's Pedro Augusto Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Branco in the 5th minute of play. Gualter Lima's late challenge caught a Guatacaba AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualter Lima helped the player get up and apologised. Gualter Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Enio Prata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerson Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Ulisses Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guatacaba AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ulisses Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mabederi AD's Enio Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Guerra in the 44th minute of play forced Guatacaba AD's goalkeeper Gerson Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Guatacaba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Guerra came free, but Gerson Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Enio Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gerson Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerson Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Guerra in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Sílvio Guerra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerson Esteves. The goal made the score 0-2. Gualter Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Branco in the 78th minute of play forced Mabederi AD's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mabederi AD getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Donato de Carvalho hit a great ball. In the 84th minute of the match Ramón Bittencourt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Augusto Arce skillfully saved the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Armando Branco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Augusto Arce. Mabederi AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Branco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Pedro Augusto Arce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Branco went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
