Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Armando Branco got the match started through his kick off. Armando Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Aírton Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Galvão struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Gerson Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picos AD. 7 minutes into the game, one of Guatacaba AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Picos AD's Cristiano Carneiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gerson Esteves. Zeca Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeca Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorginho Soares during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorginho Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Aírton Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guatacaba AD's Gerson Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiko Fernandes in the 22nd minute of play. Ulisses Motta took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aírton Barbosa. Aírton Barbosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Armando Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ulisses Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulisses Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Barbosa having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, Guatacaba AD's Ulisses Motta made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aírton Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ulisses Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Carneiro hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Armando Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Aírton Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Guatacaba AD were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kiko Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivo Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 62nd play minute Ulisses Motta came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aírton Barbosa. 1-4. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Kiko Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Gerson Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kiko Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Gerson Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Picos AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guatacaba AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Picos AD's Sílvio Luís de Almeida got a free kick in the 85th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Fernão Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Picos AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guatacaba AD the free kick. In the 89th minute, one of Picos AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Picos AD. In the 92nd minute, Guatacaba AD got a penalty, and Ramón Bittencourt placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. After some careless play in the Guatacaba AD defense, Kiko Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerson Esteves. The Guatacaba AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerson Esteves should have stopped the shot. The Picos AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guatacaba AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Guatacaba AD.
