Aírton Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enio Prata in the 17th minute of the match. Sílvio Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Enio Prata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aírton Barbosa. Picos AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enio Prata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Donato de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Mabederi AD's Pedro Augusto Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiko Fernandes in the 32nd minute of play. Nildo Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Pedro Augusto Arce made a huge save. Aírton Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Prata in the 45th minute of play. Sílvio Guerra struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Aírton Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mabederi AD. The Picos AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mabederi AD were winning 0-2.

After 57 minutes, Zeca Toscano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picos AD and the Mabederi AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Enio Prata got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
