Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mazinho Paiva made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute of the match Rômulo de Queirós sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz Viana skillfully saved the ball. If Jorge Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Encosta EC's Igor Marinho got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 8 played minutes, Paz FC's Délio Abraão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Augusto Linhares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paz FC reached it. 11 minutes into the match, Encosta EC's goalkeeper João Augusto Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Santana. A hard shot 12 in the game by Jorge Santana from a close distance when the talented João Augusto Linhares managed to make a qualified save. Encosta EC's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrique Peres during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sílvio Luís Duarte struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. João Augusto Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paz FC. Sílvio Luiz Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Hames in the 20th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Sílvio Luís Duarte took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for João Augusto Linhares to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Luís Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Augusto Linhares was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Sílvio Luiz Viana came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Encosta EC's Mazinho Paiva. But to his dismay, Mazinho Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sílvio Luiz Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Paiva in the 36th minute of play. José Carlos Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. João Augusto Linhares made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jorge Santana sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Sílvio Luís Duarte got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Paz FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mazinho Paiva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 55th minute, José Carlos Hames got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luís Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Linhares having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Mário Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paz FC and the Encosta EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Sílvio Luís Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Carlos Hames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, Encosta EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Marinho to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Paz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Paiva came free, but Sílvio Luiz Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Luís Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Linhares having to interfere. The supporters of Paz FC booed when Encosta EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Augusto Linhares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. Encosta EC's José Carlos Hames got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mazinho Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luiz Fabiano Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Encosta EC's protests and gave Luiz Fabiano Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. The Encosta EC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Paz FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
