Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franklin Ferraz started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes Sambaitiba EC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Gomes. Erivaldo Dracena hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Dráusio Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Mendonça having to interfere. Rony Gomes's late challenge caught a Jiquie FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th play minute Dráusio Ramalho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Toninho Mendonça. 2-0. Sambaitiba EC's Toninho Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Ferraz in the 32nd minute of play. Sambaitiba EC's Toninho Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sambaitiba EC from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Dráusio Ramalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franklin Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Mendonça having to interfere. Dráusio Ramalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toninho Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Jiquie FC were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Sambaitiba EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sidnei Cunha took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Maria Silveira made a kick off. In the 55th minute, José Maria Silveira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lúcio Marquez, passed just outside the right post. Lúcio Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Silveira in the 56th minute of the match. Delfim Faustino's late challenge caught a Sambaitiba EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Faustino helped the player get up and apologised. Delfim Faustino kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. With a little luck, Jiquie FC's Lúcio Marquez got control of the ball when Fellipe Madureira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dráusio Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Mendonça having to interfere. In the 67th minute Franklin Ferraz suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Rony Gomes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. After 69 played minutes Sambaitiba EC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Gomes. Sambaitiba EC's Toninho Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Ferreira in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jiquie FC defense, Fellipe Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Marquez. The Jiquie FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Marquez should have stopped the shot. Fellipe Madureira struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Lúcio Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sambaitiba EC. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Fellipe Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sambaitiba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Washington Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lúcio Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fellipe Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sambaitiba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fellipe Madureira couldn't finish the play. Cláudio de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Mendonça having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Fellipe Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sambaitiba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fellipe Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jiquie FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
