An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Neiva in the 9th minute of play forced Amataura AD's goalkeeper José Maria Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauan Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ipubi's Edmundo Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Arruda in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Ipubi booed when Amataura AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silas Neiva struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. José Maria Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipubi. Ipubi's Elano Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmundo Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Silas Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipubi's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Maria Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elano Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. José Maria Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Elano Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ipubi booed when Amataura AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Ipubi's Elano Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Maria Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Ipubi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Amataura AD were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silas Neiva was the one to do the kick off. Dário Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amataura AD's goalkeeper José Maria Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmundo Damião made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dário Arruda in the 60th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Silas Neiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. José Maria Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
