Zé Carlos Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Bultrim AD's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Lima came free, but Eriberto Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Eriberto Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matheus Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Guga Linhares might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eriberto Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guga Linhares ran back to his position shaking his head. Eriberto Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Lima in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Zé Carlos Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Dedê Medeiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juarês Messias skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Márcio Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bultrim AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bultrim AD's Eriberto Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Lima in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto da Silva was the one to do the kick off. Humberto da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Linhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Matinhos FC's zone, Humberto da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês Messias came out of the goal and Humberto da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Humberto da Silva made a precise shot to the right of Juarês Messias. Matinhos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Bultrim AD's zone, Lauro Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Fernandez came out of the goal and Lauro Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th match minute, Bultrim AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheus Leão to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yan Couto during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bultrim AD's Yan Couto got a free kick in the 81st minute. Osmar Donato was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Humberto da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Messias having to interfere. When Matheus Leão fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bultrim AD's protests and gave Matheus Leão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Márcio Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
