Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Allan Saldanha started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Matinhos FC's Cléberson de Andrade got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Guga Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Matinhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga Linhares couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Matinhos FC's Nando França got a free kick in the 13th minute. Allan Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juarês Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Lauro Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredinho Saraiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Lauro Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Saraiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guga Linhares went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Armandinho Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lauro Lima to make the kick off. Guga Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Saraiva having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Lima in the 58th minute of play forced Vasques EC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Vasques EC's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Linhares came free, but Alfredinho Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The goalkeeper, Juarês Messias, was totally fooled by Vasques EC's Cícero Corrêa, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 75th minute, Vasques EC's Allan Saldanha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juarês Messias. Juarês Messias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Alfredinho Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Lima in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Vasques EC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Narciso Saldanha hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Dorival Lopez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juarês Messias, 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vasques EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
