In the 24th minute Miguel Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibúrcio Abraão in the 25th minute of play. Tibúrcio Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arlindo Furtado lost his temper 41 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After the first half Bitumirim SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Breckenfeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Trairas's zone, Miguel Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Urbano came out of the goal and Miguel Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute.
