Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Júlio Lopez kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Matai SC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Lopez came free, but Elói Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Matai SC's Celsinho Ceresso got a free kick in the 4th minute. Júlio Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Elói Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elói Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardinho Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Castro having to interfere. Matai SC's Elói Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Lopez in the 16th minute of play. Bernardo Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Prado having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Matai SC's zone, Laerte de Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elói Castro came out of the goal and Laerte de Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Júlio Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Matai SC's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte de Carvalho came free, but Elói Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th play minute Emerson Paulista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Adhemar Prado. 1-0. Matai SC's Elói Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Lopez in the 42nd minute of play. Júlio Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Castro having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matai SC's goalkeeper Elói Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the match, Matai SC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Guerra came free, but Elói Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emerson Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Pompeiro AD's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Paulista came free, but Adhemar Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adhemar Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Schmidt in the 58th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte de Carvalho got free with Elói Castro in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Pompeiro AD's zone, Emerson Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adhemar Prado came out of the goal and Emerson Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Emerson Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adhemar Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Schmidt in the 71st minute of the match. Elói Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Matai SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! Júlio Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Elói Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Pompeiro AD's Rui Guerra got a free kick in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
