Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when André Luiz Travassos took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Júlio Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Alan Magalhães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Waldir Rezende. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Zeca Carioca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Waldir Rezende. Zeca Carioca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Duarte in the 21st minute of play forced Caicarinha's goalkeeper Waldir Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gramame's Fiori Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Travassos in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Alan Magalhães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Waldir Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the match, Caicarinha's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Duarte came free, but Waldir Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeca Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gramame fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Duarte was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Júlio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gramame's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Wilson de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Fiori Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz Travassos in the 71st minute of play forced Gramame's goalkeeper Fiori Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gramame getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Nóbrega hit a great ball. Wellington Viana, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Gramame's Alan Magalhães in 78 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Waldir Rezende guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Fiori Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Rezende having to interfere. Waldir Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Duarte in the 87th minute of play. Waldir Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Montenegro having to interfere. Caicarinha's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
