Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. André Luiz Travassos started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Caicarinha getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. André Luiz Travassos hit a great ball. In the 11th minute André Luiz Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Wilson de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Zacarias de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caicarinha. After 26 played minutes Caicarinha got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Madureira. Caicarinha's Waldir Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson de Queirós in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Aguiar got free with Waldir Rezende in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute of the match Vitinho do Valle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldir Rezende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Claudinho Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes, Leonardo Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caicarinha and the Sereno players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonardo Rosa hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The supporters of Caicarinha booed when Sereno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wilson de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz Travassos in the 47th minute of play forced Sereno's goalkeeper Zacarias de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denílson de Queirós made a kick off. Sereno's Claudinho Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Sereno getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Aleandro Trancoso hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes Wellington Viana shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Sereno's Zacarias de Queirós to catch but Wellington Viana was lucky. It became 1-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. If Denílson de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caicarinha's André Luiz Sá shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 79th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zacarias de Queirós but with some difficulty. André Luiz Sá charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Luiz Sá the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Caicarinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sereno:s goal. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Sereno. Paulão Fernandez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Waldir Rezende. 2-2. If Wilson de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. André Luiz Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Claudinho Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Caicarinha's Wellington Viana got a free kick in the 98th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
