Toninho Valadares hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Hamílton Lima came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Cardozo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamílton Lima couldn't finish the play. If Delfim Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Matías Zanette fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardozo's protests and gave Matías Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cardozo's Matías Zanette got a free kick in the 10th minute. Norberto da Rocha had great luck who in the 12thth minute grab hold of the ball when Toninho Valadares from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Gralau SS's Diego de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Porto in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 minutes of play, Cardozo's Afonso Porto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diego de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute Hamílton Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hamílton Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gralau SS's Diego de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Porto in the 36th minute of play. Hamílton Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Afonso Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hamílton Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego de Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hamílton Lima ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toninho Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hamílton Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duda Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Afonso Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. If Hamílton Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Gralau SS got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Medeiros. After having played for 73 minutes, Delfim Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gralau SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cardozo's Fabiano de Amorim got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 80th match minute, Cardozo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Duda Antunes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Norberto da Rocha came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Gralau SS's Toninho Valadares. But to his dismay, Toninho Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Porto in the 92nd minute of play forced Gralau SS's goalkeeper Diego de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Diego de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cardozo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
