Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toninho Valadares started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Quadros during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dé França didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Valadares went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Celso da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego de Queiroz having to interfere. Jarbas Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Jairo Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Diego de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Paraisopolis's Jairo Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Jairo Guedes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Diego de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Jairo Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Diego de Queiroz. Gralau SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Delfim Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gralau SS's Toninho Valadares in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Celso da Cunha made the kick off in the second half. Dé França came out of the goal and Jarbas Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dé França made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Delfim Tavares sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Paraisopolis's zone, Delfim Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé França came out of the goal and Delfim Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Delfim Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gralau SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Delfim Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toninho Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé França having to interfere. Jairo Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego de Queiroz having to interfere. Gralau SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
