In the 5th minute Gildo Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Guariguari's Gerson Zilles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Picui FC's goalkeeper Elias de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thiago Vasconcelos. In the 18th minute, Guariguari's Gerson Zilles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elias de Toledo. Elias de Toledo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Thiago Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes of play, Picui FC's Gildo Marinho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Otávio Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gildo Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Picui FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gildo Marinho couldn't finish the play. Otávio Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Picui FC's Gildo Marinho got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Elias de Toledo was a little too slow when Gerson Zilles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-1.

The wind increased when Gerson Zilles made the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Otávio Cosme got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Gerson Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerson Zilles in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim Couto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Picui FC's Otávio Cosme dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 65th minute, Gerson Zilles made a precise shot to the right of Elias de Toledo. Picui FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 72 minutes into the match, Guariguari's Gerson Zilles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Flávio Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guariguari's protests and gave Flávio Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. Flávio Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Gildo Marinho struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Richard Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picui FC. If Otávio Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guariguari's zone, Otávio Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Barbosa came out of the goal and Otávio Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thiago Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerson Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gildo Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Barbosa having to interfere. In the 96th minute of the match, Gildo Marinho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Richard Barbosa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gerson Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Elias de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guariguari were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Picui FC for a fine match.
