Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dadá Correia got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Arlindo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mirai SS's goalkeeper Rony Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Agostinho Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Mirai SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agostinho Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute Dadá Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arlindo Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualter Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dadá Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Mirai SS getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Willian de Barros hit a great ball. Dadá Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gualter Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulão Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Pontes having to interfere. If Ademir Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arlindo Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Mirai SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Perez to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes Mirai SS got a freekick which was hit by Willian de Barros. Ademir Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tião Lago's late challenge caught a Mirai SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tião Lago helped the player get up and apologised. 42 minutes into the game, one of Itapura EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulão Ferreira to strike the kick off in the second half. Mirai SS's Dadá Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dadá Correia in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualter Teles saved Itapura EC from getting behind. Mirai SS's Rony Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Braga in the 57th minute of play. If Ademir Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Mirai SS's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Ferreira came free, but Rony Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Mirai SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademir Braga in the 65th minute of play forced Mirai SS's goalkeeper Rony Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulão Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ademir Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mirai SS's zone, Paulão Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Pontes came out of the goal and Paulão Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st match minute, Itapura EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Mirai SS were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Itapura EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vágner Pombal took the corner. After 86 minutes Itapura EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vágner Pombal who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Itapura EC's goalie and right to Dedê Queirós. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Itapura EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of Mirai SS booed when Itapura EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agostinho Gaúcho took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualter Teles. Gualter Teles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
