Agostinho Gaúcho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arlindo Perez during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Arlindo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mirai SS's zone, Hermínio de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Pontes came out of the goal and Hermínio de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, Mirai SS's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio de Brito came free, but Rony Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

53 minutes into the match, Xilili's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Correia came free, but Manuel de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Perez hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Manuel de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Gaúcho in the 61st minute of play. If Dadá Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio de Brito in the 66th minute. In the 68thth minute of the game Cássio Albuquerque who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mirai SS's Rony Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cássio Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Xilili's Geovanni de Toledo got a free kick in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mirai SS had won after a very even match.
