An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Vicente Guimarães got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vicente Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Moreno in the 17th minute of play forced Uirapuru's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dorian Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Dalmo Alcântara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fabiano Senna skillfully saved the ball. Haroldo Miranda struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Luiz Fabiano Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sitinho. Vicente Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalberto Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cristóvão Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Sitinho booed when Uirapuru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Haroldo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Haroldo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Téo Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute Haroldo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Téo Moreno made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Uirapuru got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Zonta. Vicente Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fabiano Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Miranda in the 59th minute. Haroldo Miranda in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luiz Fabiano Senna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Simão in the 66th minute of play forced Sitinho's goalkeeper Walmir Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Miranda in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Téo Moreno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Fabiano Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Moreno in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Guimarães in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmir Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Vicente Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Uirapuru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Guimarães couldn't finish the play. When Sitinho's Haroldo Miranda in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uirapuru's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute, Dorian Simão made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Terra. Sitinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Walmir Terra came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Uirapuru's Vicente Guimarães. But to his dismay, Vicente Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Sitinho's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
