Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Noel de Andrade got the match started through his kick off. Manoel da Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benedito Pernambucano having to make a save. In the 7th minute Pedrinho Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Germano de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germano de Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Rosa went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Benedito Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Igarau FC's Pedrinho Bastos. But to his dismay, Pedrinho Bastos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Igarau FC's Germano de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel de Andrade in the 19th minute of play. Pedrinho Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedito Pernambucano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrinho Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Cearense in the 23rd minute of play forced Arequembaua's goalkeeper Benedito Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fábio Cearense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedito Pernambucano was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Luiz Fábio Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igarau FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fábio Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Pedrinho Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. Arequembaua's Benedito Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Bastos in the 38th minute of play. If Jorge Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrinho Bastos made a kick off. Romário Cunha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Germano de Carvalho. Igarau FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Luz during the 56th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Gernando Machado put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arequembaua fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Igarau FC's Glauco Rosa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benedito Pernambucano. Benedito Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Luiz Fábio Cearense sent off a good shot on target. After 86 played minutes Arequembaua got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Barreto. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Pedrinho Bastos put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Benedito Pernambucano. A collision led to Igarau FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rafinha Marinho hit a great ball. The supporters of Igarau FC booed when Arequembaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Igarau FC fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Igarau FC's Pedrinho Bastos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
