Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Arequembaua's Noel de Andrade started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Carlos Alberto Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luiz Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel de Andrade in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Arequembaua booed when Paiolinho AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luiz Mineiro came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Arequembaua's Noel de Andrade. But to his dismay, Noel de Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Marcos Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedito Pernambucano was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. When Waldir Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paiolinho AD's protests and gave Waldir Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paiolinho AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! 40 minutes into the match, Arequembaua's Jorge Rosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Mineiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Noel de Andrade in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luiz Mineiro saved Paiolinho AD from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Noel de Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arequembaua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
Bruninho Fonseca scored 2-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedito Pernambucano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arequembaua's Jorge Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Marcos Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paiolinho AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Paiolinho AD's zone, Noel de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luiz Mineiro came out of the goal and Noel de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcos Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Pernambucano having to interfere. Benedito Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Lucas in the 88th minute of the match. Juarês Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Paiolinho AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arequembaua's performance. The match ended with a win for Arequembaua.
