Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Armindo Lopez started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Ivo Carneiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaves AD and the Acarai SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chaves AD getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ivo Carneiro hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Acarai SC's José de Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Pedro Quadros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armindo Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 minutes of play, Acarai SC's José de Mendonça made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Pedro Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Pedro Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José de Mendonça in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Fabiano Pirani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acarai SC and the Chaves AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Willian Pontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th match minute, Acarai SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedé Reis to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. José Pedro Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabiano Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Acarai SC's goalkeeper Adriano de Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Acarai SC's Adriano de Castro got control of the ball when Willian Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Pedro Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Fabiano Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Washington Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Adriano de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Fabiano Pirani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chaves AD's José Pedro Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Acarai SC's zone, Willian Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano de Castro came out of the goal and Willian Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adriano de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 60 minutes into the game, César Urbano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acarai SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaves AD the free kick. In the 60th minute, César Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adriano de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willian Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano de Castro having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Acarai SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Adriano de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg José Pedro Quadros managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Acarai SC's José de Mendonça fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Willian Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Chaves AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willian Pontes couldn't finish the play. Chaves AD's José Pedro Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Pirani in the 75th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, José Pedro Quadros successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adriano de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Pontes in the 78th minute of play. José de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Quadros having to interfere. When José de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Acarai SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. José de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. José Pedro Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chaves AD getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Lúcio Vander hit a great ball. José de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. José Pedro Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acarai SC.
