Agostinho da Mata hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Quirino in the 31st minute of play forced Bacabal's goalkeeper Digo Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Quirino struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Digo Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Souzas SS. Júlio Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Digo Dantas having to interfere. With a little luck, Bacabal's Digo Dantas got control of the ball when Júlio Quirino tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Natanael Brodel made the kick off in the second half. Digo Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Quirino in the 52nd minute of the match.
