After a defensive mix-up in Juvencio's zone, Walmir Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Reis came out of the goal and Walmir Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor de Souza in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Reis having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Walmir Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Victor de Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juvencio's Ivo Pires suffered a sore foot after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 18th match minute, Caldeira EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Walmir Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Campidelis during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Juvencio got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Campidelis. In the 33rd match minute, Juvencio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Brasil to maneuver through the defense. Caldeira EC were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Juvencio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Doriva de Amaral took the corner. The corner led Caldeira EC's Doriva de Amaral to fire away a dangerous shot which David Reis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 36th match minute, Juvencio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Walmir Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Reis having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Caldeira EC's Victor de Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldir Mineiro in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Reis saved Juvencio from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor de Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juvencio's David Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Juvencio from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Juvencio's zone, Victor de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Reis came out of the goal and Victor de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. When Victor de Souza, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The David Reis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marcinho Gerber hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 58th play minutes Walmir Urbano shot 0-2, a short shot which went by David Reis and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 61st minute, Walmir Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Mineiro in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Juvencio's goal looked a bit too open when Victor de Souza came free, but David Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg David Reis managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Caldeira EC's Walmir Urbano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 75th minute of the match Wilton Santana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Reis skillfully saved the ball. Victor de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor de Souzas short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got David Reis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Victor de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Victor de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caldeira EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caldeira EC's Victor de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caldeira EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
