But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Donato couldn't finish the play. Renan de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauã de Medeiros having to interfere. Kauã de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Capitari SS's Vinícius Figueiredo got a free kick in the 36th minute. A collision led to Capitari SS getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gino Secco hit a great ball. Patrick Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nilson Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Donato to make the kick off. The Capitari SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Claudinei Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Capitari SS's Kauã de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Capitari SS from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cícero Pimenta in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kauã de Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilson Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Carneiro in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mumbada players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Capitari SS.
