Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nelson Berger started the match with the kick off. When Christian de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irupi's protests and gave Christian de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Galhardo booed when Irupi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Galhardo's Nelson Berger in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Irupi's goalie prevented a goal. When Amauri Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galhardo's protests and gave Amauri Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. Amauri Galvão hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Irupi's goalkeeper Dida Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fiori Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fiori Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Irupi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori Vianna couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Tomé da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Fiori Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Galhardo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Galvão to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Galhardo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Irupi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galhardo:s goal. Diogo Aguiar walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Dida Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Berger in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Irupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Fantini to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, one of Irupi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Irupi. Irupi's Dida Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Irupi from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ediberto Valladares was the one to do the kick off. Cipriano Maranhense hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Augusto Medeiros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jano Maia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zé Augusto Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Christian de Andrade was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Mané Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jano Maia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Augusto Medeiros. Fiori Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fiori Vianna was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Irupi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 69th minute, Wiliam Fantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Irupi's Fiori Vianna got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Galhardo booed when Irupi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galhardo's Nelson Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Irupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Valladares to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Nelson Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Irupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Nelson Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Ramos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Irupi's Augusto Medeiros got a free kick in the 91st minute. Diogo Aguiar missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 94 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Dida Ramos right hand side.
