Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edmundo Quirino took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Carreiras's Frédson Guedes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Alfredinho de Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benê Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Durval Hames, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carreiras's Sílvio Luís Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Carreiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Moisés Magalhães, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Donato in the 24th minute of play forced Carreiras's goalkeeper Alfredinho de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Enio Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes, Carreiras's Gugu de Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enio Pimenta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carreiras reached it. After 30 played minutes Mirari got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Pinheiro. When Abel Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Carreiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Pinho couldn't finish the play. After having played for 39 minutes, Sílvio Luís Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carreiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Mirari's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Velloso came free, but Enio Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mirari players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carreiras were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benê Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Edmundo Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carreiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Luís Velloso got free with Enio Pimenta in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Mirari's Egídio Rezende got a free kick in the 61st minute. Sílvio Luís Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Carreiras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
