Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. César Gomes started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Basílio Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brilhantina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th minute, Liberato FC's César Gomes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Paiva in the 16th minute of play forced Liberato FC's goalkeeper Hélder Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Liberato FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Sarmento came free, but Hélder Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Basílio Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Brilhantina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Sarmento couldn't finish the play. Hélder Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Paiva in the 28th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Roger Paiva in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 37th minute, Roger Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélder Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. César Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Arce having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, César Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinei Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Gomes in the 46th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Brilhantina FC got a freekick which was hit by Custódio Monteiro. After the first half Brilhantina FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Dário Mumbach made a precise shot to the right of Claudinei Arce. Brilhantina FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Hélder Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Sarmento in the 58th minute. Claudinei Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roger Paiva during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Roger Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. César Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Claudinei Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilvan Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Roger Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute César Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Mandrak during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Liberato FC booed when Brilhantina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Cunha made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Basílio Sarmento sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Brilhantina FC's Evaristo Varela got a free kick in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Liberato FC's Natã Abraão got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Roger Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Brilhantina FC's Agenor da Rocha seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Agenor da Rocha the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brilhantina FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Agenor da Rocha had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 84 minutes into the game, one of Brilhantina FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 91 minutes into the match, Liberato FC's goalkeeper Hélder Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Sarmento. In the 92nd minute, Vitório Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio Sarmento got free with Hélder Cunha in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. William Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Liberato FC's zone, Basílio Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Cunha came out of the goal and Basílio Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Liberato FC had won after a very even match.
