The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. William Rodriguess short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Alexandre Rezende to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Álvaro Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Rezende having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Morao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Mazza came free, but Douglas da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Luiz Fernando Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Germano Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nuno Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fernando Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandre Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Luiz Fernando Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Alexandre Rezende made a huge save. Nuno Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Douglas da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Rezende having to interfere. Luiz Fernando Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Alexandre Rezende made a huge save. Nuno Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Rodrigues made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Rodrigues in the 53rd minute of play forced Charqueadas's goalkeeper Alexandre Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Alexandre Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morao SC. Morao SC's Douglas da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Mazza in the 74th minute of play. Bernardo Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Coutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Charqueadas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Morao SC:s goal. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Morao SC. Dudu Galvão stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexandre Rezende. 1-0. Alexandre Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Urbano in the 87th minute of play. Alexandre Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Alexandre Rezende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Rodrigues went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Morao SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Charqueadas for a fine match.
