Guayaramerim AD's Luiz Paulo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulysses Melo in the 9th minute of play. Belmiro Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Moraes having to interfere. Perivaldo Lara struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Moisés Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guayaramerim AD. When Chonim's Ulysses Melo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guayaramerim AD's goalie prevented a goal. Sílvio Luiz Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Chonim's Cafu Lago seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cafu Lago the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chonim protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cafu Lago had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chonim! When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Guayaramerim AD's Alfredo Fonseca got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Moisés Moraes. 30 minutes into the match, Guayaramerim AD's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Guimarães came free, but Luiz Paulo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match Alfredo Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moisés Moraes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Vicente Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel de Godoy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Paulo Maranhense having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Moisés Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Lara in the 55th minute of play. João Augusto Bertassi hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Perivaldo Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perivaldo Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Moraes having to interfere.
