The supporters of Guaibal SC booed when Apuhy AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guaibal SC's Augusto Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Velasco in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Lucas Donato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Durval Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Guaibal SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Simão Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Perez having to interfere. Augusto Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 31 minutes, Gilson Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apuhy AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilson Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Augusto Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apuhy AD's Róbson Perez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Apuhy AD from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Guaibal SC booed when Apuhy AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Guaibal SC's Simão Melo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Róbson Perez. Róbson Perez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Simão Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Róbson Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Donato was the one to do the kick off. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Apuhy AD! Diego Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Apuhy AD's zone, Lucas Donato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbson Perez came out of the goal and Lucas Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Válter Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Simão Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Melo in the 94th minute of play forced Apuhy AD's goalkeeper Róbson Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Donato took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Róbson Perez. Róbson Perez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Apuhy AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
