After 20 played minutes, Xerente's Thiago Ortiz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xerente reached it. In the 21st minute Samuel Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Samuel Gomes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andrequice's Hamílton Chaves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Bebeto Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Tavares was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Bebeto Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. The supporters of Xerente booed when Andrequice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Andrequice fans cheered their team off the field, for while Xerente had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
