The referee ignored Jacri's protests and gave Washington Pitta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Paracuru SC booed when Jacri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jacri's zone, Amadeu Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu dos Santos came out of the goal and Amadeu Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Romeu dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cauã Mattos in the 13th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Jacri's Washington Pitta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadeu do Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Washington Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeu do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Humberto Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Paracuru SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Fernandes couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the game, Belmiro Dantas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paracuru SC the free kick. Belmiro Dantas hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Cauã Mattos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu do Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cauã Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu do Vale having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Washington Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeu do Vale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Washington Pitta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. Romeu dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeu Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Jacri's Cauã Mattos made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovânio Félix charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovânio Félix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th match minute, Paracuru SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Paulista to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Paracuru SC's Delfim Paulista got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Cauã Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauã Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tadeu do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Mattos in the 93rd minute of play forced Paracuru SC's goalkeeper Tadeu do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Romeu dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paracuru SC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jacri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paracuru SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
