The supporters of Jacri booed when Jaragua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th match minute, Jaragua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Penha to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Jaragua's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã Mattos came free, but Yuri Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Washington Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cauã Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. When Belmiro Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacri's protests and gave Belmiro Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Jacri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Dantas to maneuver through the defense. When Belmiro Dantas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. Belmiro Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Eusébio Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Eusébio Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaragua's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Jacri got a freekick which was hit by Washington Pitta. In the 40th minute Eusébio Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jaragua's zone, Cauã Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Batista came out of the goal and Cauã Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jaragua's Eusébio Torres in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacri's goalie prevented a goal. Eusébio Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Eusébio Torres made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Valério Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Torres scored 1-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romeu dos Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Washington Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 minutes, Washington Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacri and the Jaragua players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Gildo Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cauã Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Jacri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauã Mattos couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Jaragua's goalkeeper Yuri Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauã Mattos. Cauã Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Batista having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Dudu Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jaragua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacri the free kick. Bruninho Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu dos Santos having to interfere. Cauã Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Jaragua players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
