In the 18th minute Arthur Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game Renatinho Bezerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarapo SS's Sidnei Reis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sarapo SS's Sidnei Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Bezerra in the 20th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes Sarapo SS got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Borges. 46 minutes into the match, Sarapo SS's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Bezerra came free, but Sidnei Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarapo SS's goalkeeper Sidnei Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Vicente Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarapo SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manoelsinho the free kick. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarapo SS's goalkeeper Sidnei Reis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Manoelsinho's Valdir Maciel fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Sidnei Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Fernandes in the 87th minute of play. Sarapo SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Arthur Fernandes scored to the left of an out of position Sidnei Reis, making the score, 1-2. Arthur Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sidnei Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Manoelsinho could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sarapo SS throughout the match.
