But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Guedes couldn't finish the play. If Evaristo Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Carlos Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Aníbal Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Parapouca's José Carlos Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Cerobas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Evaristo Freire made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Cerobas EC's Aníbal Bertassi got control of the ball when José Carlos Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Carlos Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Aníbal Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parapouca. After having played for 66 minutes, Luiz Fábio Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerobas EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fábio Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Parapouca's Manuel Paulista got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Parapouca's goalkeeper Amauri Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Moisés Guedes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aníbal Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Freire in the 75th minute of play. Amauri Dante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moisés Guedes went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 82 minutes, Luiz Fábio Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerobas EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fábio Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 minutes, Bruno Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerobas EC and the Parapouca players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cerobas EC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bruno Cerezo hit a great ball. Moisés Guedes might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amauri Dante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moisés Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luiz Fábio Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Parapouca players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cerobas EC.
