In the 6th minute Evaristo Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amauri Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Pinheiro in the 9th minute of the match. Amauri Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edgar Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Parapouca booed when Sarapo SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Sarapo SS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Leopoldo Borges hit a great ball. Sidnei Reis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Manuel Paulista. Edgar Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Parapouca's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Pinheiro came free, but Amauri Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Parapouca's Evaristo Freire sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidnei Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sidnei Reis made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when José Carlos Cardoso sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuca Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Pinheiro in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amauri Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Freire in the 54th minute of play forced Sarapo SS's goalkeeper Sidnei Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, José Carlos Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parapouca's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidnei Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Dante having to interfere. In the 60th minute, William Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Samuca Machado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parapouca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarapo SS the free kick. Samuca Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Edgar Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Dante having to interfere. If Edgar Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Corrêa scored 0-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amauri Dante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leandro Corrêa took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amauri Dante. Amauri Dante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Evaristo Freire came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Parapouca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Freire couldn't finish the play. Sidnei Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Freire in the 86th minute of the match. José Carlos Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amauri Dante had great luck who in the 92ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Edgar Pinheiro from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post.
