After having played for 70 minutes, Breno Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macujo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breno Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adalberto da Cunha got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Macujo's Adalberto da Cunha got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Quadros in the 76th minute of play forced Macujo's goalkeeper Tomás Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Breno Tande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Macujo defense, Alexsandro Quadros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Velloso. The Macujo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Velloso should have stopped the shot. If Augusto Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Imaculada's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
