The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jardel Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amazonas EC's protests and gave Jardel Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Luisinho Fonseca fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Amazonas EC's Nico Borges got a free kick in the 9th minute. Afonso Schmidt's late challenge caught a Imaculada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Schmidt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Amazonas EC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Afonso Schmidt hit a great ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisinho Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Imaculada's Basílio Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Lucas in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias Lucas in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basílio Vinhas saved Imaculada from getting behind. Imaculada's Charles Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diamantino Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Melo in the 36th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Charles Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Diamantino Barral fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imaculada's protests and gave Diamantino Barral a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Imaculada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Barral to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Lucas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Serafim Félix hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Diamantino Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belchior Correia's late challenge caught a Amazonas EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Belchior Correia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Belchior Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Vinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Fonseca in the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Imaculada's Belchior Correia got a free kick in the 69th minute. Augusto Melo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Diamantino Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imaculada. Basílio Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Lucas in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Augusto Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imaculada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Amazonas EC booed when Imaculada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão França didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Charles Velasco made a precise shot to the right of Diamantino Fernandes. Amazonas EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Amazonas EC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
