Luiz Paulo Valle's late challenge caught a Arikemes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Paulo Valle helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Paulo Valle hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirabeiraba SS's goalkeeper Fernandinho de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Didi Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Arikemes fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Arikemes's Gernando de Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Arikemes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Didi Souza scored to the left of an out of position Válbson Vale, making the score, 1-2. Válbson Vale made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Dráusio Borges sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Didi Souza to make the kick off. Arikemes's Válbson Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Souza in the 52nd minute of play. If Dráusio Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válbson Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Souza in the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Dráusio Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arikemes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
