A collision led to Mujiqui getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Luiz do Vale hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arikemes's zone, Anselmo Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válbson Vale came out of the goal and Anselmo Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Arikemes getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jardel Madureira hit a great ball. Wilson Donato's late challenge caught a Arikemes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Donato helped the player get up and apologised. 22 minutes into the game, one of Mujiqui:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Arikemes a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Doriva Castro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mujiqui's Chicão Leme. 1-0. Anselmo Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Válbson Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Doriva Castro in the 31st minute really tested Chicão Leme's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tostão Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válbson Vale having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Mujiqui's Anselmo Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válbson Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Thiago Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Madureira hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Válbson Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Queirós in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thiago Queirós to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Gernando de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gernando de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mujiqui's Chicão Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Aguiar in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Hernani Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arikemes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 77 played minutes Arikemes got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Lopes. In the 83rd match minute, Mujiqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Queirós to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernani Aguiar during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hernani Aguiar hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Hernani Aguiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chicão Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando de Castro in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mujiqui players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arikemes.
