In the 3rd match minute, Sintra AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Senna to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sintra AD's zone, Vladimir Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Sá came out of the goal and Vladimir Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breno Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Linares in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to Sintra AD getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Iuri Peres hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Davi Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carinhanha's supporters rose to their feet, but Davi Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breno Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Arce in the 17th minute of play forced Sintra AD's goalkeeper Breno Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Arce in the 19th minute of play. If Custódio Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Goiano during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Carinhanha got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Hames. 34 minutes into the match, Sintra AD's Custódio Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gernando Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sintra AD's zone, Vladimir Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Sá came out of the goal and Vladimir Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. A collision led to Sintra AD getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Sydney Sarmento hit a great ball. In the 57th match minute, Sintra AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Peres to maneuver through the defense. Vladimir Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Breno Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vladimir Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Carlos Augusto Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Sintra AD's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Linares came free, but Breno Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Davi Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Vladimir Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carinhanha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimir Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sintra AD's Custódio Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Custódio Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Senna in the 89th minute of play forced Carinhanha's goalkeeper Gernando Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
